Frequently Asked Questions:

What areas do you cover?

I cover Herefordshire and the surrounding areas, but have travelled extensively for Wedding bookings. I also love to travel, Destination Weddings can be accommodated subject to my availability. Travel and accommodation fees apply, and I can create a custom package just for you.

How do I secure my Wedding date in your diary?

First, you will need to fill out an online enquiry form. You can do that here. I’ll reach back out to you with a quotation. Once a quotation has been agreed, a non-refundable booking fee of £85 is requested. (This amount comes off your total balance.) As soon as payment is received, your date is secure!

What products do you use?

Giorgio Armani, Estee Lauder, Hourglass, DIOR, Makeup By Mario, Charlotte Tilbury, Huda Beauty, NARS, Natasha Denona, MAC, Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay, Tarte Cosmetics, Rodial, Victoria Beckham Beauty, One/Size. (This is not a comprehensive list - depending on your chosen look depends on the products / product brands used. Other brands may be included to achieve the best outcome.)

When do I book my trial?

I recommend this being around 2 months before your Wedding day. If you are wanting to receive extra advice regarding skincare and treatments, I’d recommend receiving the trial 3 months before.

Where does the trial take place?

Trials are carried out at my salon base, Pure Emporium Skin & Laser Clinic, Grandstand Road, Hereford, HR4 9NH. I can also travel to you if you’d prefer, however this does incur an extra charge - price dependant on your location.

Do you offer trials at the weekends?

Yes! I can accommodate weekend trials, as well as through the week, subject to my diary availability. During peak Wedding season (April - September) Saturday availability may be more limited due to Wedding bookings. It’s recommended to have this appointment in the morning, so you can wear your makeup all day and get a true reflection of your makeup longevity.

What happens during a makeup trial?

Together we’ll go over a consultation, discuss your desired look, dress, skin type, and any inspiration you have. Then, I’ll create a full bridal look tailored to your wants. You’ll receive a full makeup application. It’s a relaxed, fun session designed to leave you feeling confident and excited and allows us to get to know each other!

Do you stay for touch-ups throughout the day?

I do offer a stay-all-day option if you'd like extra touch-ups for photos or for an evening look, however this is an optional extra. If you do not choose this option, my services will be completed prior to you leaving for the ceremony, or earlier if you’d prefer.

When would I need to pay the final balance?

Payment terms are agreed upon quotation, but the final payment is always due around 6 weeks before your Wedding date. The booking fee is deducted off your final balance.

How should I prepare my skin before the wedding?

Due to my background in skincare, and depending on your needs, I’ll always give customised skincare advice alongside your trial. In general the key is to at least cleanse & moisturise twice daily (using correct products suited to your skin needs), stay hydrated, and avoid trying new products or receiving facial treatments 2 weeks before the big day. Makeup can only ever look as good as the foundations it sits upon. If you’re after a more in-depth plan to really change the way your skin is behaving or boost your skin health before the big day, take a look at Pure Emporium Skin & Laser Clinic - click here. This is my award-winning skin clinic, offering tailored treatments and courses to help achieve your skin goals.

Do you offer hair styling as well?

I specialise in makeup only, but I know brilliant hairstylists and can recommend trusted professionals for your wedding day.

My bridal party is large, do you work with other makeup artists?

Yes! I’m well connected to other makeup artists who I trust and are also experienced in this line of work who I can reach out to for larger bookings to ensure you are all ready on time, looking fantastic and beaming with confidence. To add an extra makeup artist/s incurs a small fee for arrangements and administration.

Do you offer discounts for large Wedding parties?

With larger bookings come more administration, more time to plan and organise, more product usage, as well as potentially managing additional makeup artists and the logistics. Accurate scheduling requires expertise and time, and each individual will always receive the same level of care as the next - for this reason no discounts are applied on larger bookings.

What if I decide to cancel my booking?

I politely request you notify me in writing via email at least THREE months before the Wedding. If this timeframe is met, all funds bar the non-refundable booking fee of £85 will be returned. If any trial has already taken place, the cost of the trial will be deducted from the final balance to be returned. If the wedding is cancelled closer than 4 weeks before the wedding event, a cancellation fee amounting to 75% of the full amount will incur. A full copy of these T’s & Cs will be sent to you prior to booking.
